Board of Public Works (BPW) Coordinator (Administrator I) – Office of Procurement and Materials Management (OPAMM), Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport), Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA).
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Director and Deputy Director of OPAMM and serve as primary liaison for regulatory and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end development of BPW agenda items, preparing detailed information for MAA contracts requiring BPW approval.
- Request, verify, and approve legally sufficient contract documentation, manage bonds, process tax verifications, and ensure compliance with MBE participation forms.
- Develop comprehensive presentation packages on current MAA agenda items for BPW Review groups and upcoming meetings.
- Prepare and deliver high-level briefings for OPAMM Director and MAA Executive Leadership to support strategic decision‑making.
- Prepare reports on contracts approved by the BPW as requested by MAA Executive Team or MDOT.
- Respond to inquiries from contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other parties regarding projects, contract documents, schedules and procurement procedures.
- Assist in the operation of a motor vehicle when duties require; a valid motor‑vehicle operator’s license in Maryland is required.
- High‑school graduation or equivalent.
- Four years of administrative or professional work experience.
- One year of experience managing the end‑to‑end development of BPW agenda items, including preparation, review, editing, and formatting of contract documentation.
- Must be a current Maryland State Government employee.
- Substitution of 30 college credit hours per year for up to four years of required experience.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in staff work related to administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, or coordination of unit operations, on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Proof of U.S. educational equivalence for foreign credentials.
- Must possess a valid motor‑vehicle operator’s license in Maryland if duties require vehicle operation.
- All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (I‑9 compliant).
- Background and reference checks will be conducted.
- Eligibility to receive appropriate auxiliary aids and services for qualified individuals with disabilities upon request.
- May be a member of a covered bargaining unit.
