Main Purpose of Job

In order to ensure RICA-Baltimore sustains a family-driven, youth-guided program, this position completes numerous mission critical functions in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, or the facility's Executive Board (consisting of the CEO, COO, Medical Director, Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, Principal, and Director of Quality Improvement). Examples of work include; acting as the Executive Assistant to the CEO; compiling and completing reports for the CEO to be sent to various public and private officials and organizations;

supervising the preparation of all facility policies and procedural manuals (outside of Human Resources); maintaining facility organizational charts; compiling and presenting statistical data and reports as it relates to public and private RTC's (includes ADP, average census, e.g.); assisting in the supervision of the facilities information management program/systems, regularly communicates with officials from both the public and private sector (on behalf of the CEO);

providing consultation to the facility's Executive Board on State and facility policies/procedures; ensuring the facility's administrative wing and support services by maintaining the supplies necessary; and acting as the official timekeeper for the administrative wing and facility's secretarial staff. In addition this position oversees the secretarial staff assigned to the front desk and assigned coverage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:

Three years of administrative staff or professional work.  Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to twoyears of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or universityfor the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess the following:  Experience providing high-level administrative and operational support to executive leadership, including policy implementation, reporting, organizational management, and coordinating daily operations.  Experience organizing and managing multiple priorities, solving complex problems, and maintaining strict confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.  

Experience with information management systems and Microsoft Office applications, while working in healthcare, residential treatment, or other highly regulated environments.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
