Position: Program Coordinator (Research Administration)

We are seeking a Program Coordinator who will be responsible for the implementation of a specific program under general supervision and direction. The Program Coordinator participates in program development, planning, and implementation. The position is responsible for day-to-day operations of the program and achieving short and long-term program goals. May supervise or oversee operational staff with program responsibilities.

The Chicago Parent Program (CPP) is an evidence-based parenting skills program designed with and for families of young children, ages 2-8 years old. CPP is available in multiple implementation formats and can be implemented by a range of individuals in a variety of settings that serve young children and their families. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the CPP leadership team to organize, implement, market, and evaluate virtual and in-person trainings in the CPP models.

In addition, they will support the CPP team in establishing and nurturing relationships with organizations interested in bringing the CPP to the families they serve. Finally, they may support research initiatives related to the CPP as needed.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Contribute to goal setting and identify program operational requirements to meet programmatic goals.
  • Obtain and utilize internal and external resources to meet program goals.
  • Serve as primary contact for the program with internal departments and external organizations.
  • Responsible for monitoring budget expenses, processing invoices, performing budget reconciliation, and assisting with budget development.
  • Compile documentation related to funding and finance.
  • Identify and resolve programmatic problems.
  • Assist with planning events and coordinate preparation, set up and logistics for events/ functions.
  • Coordinate communication activities via websites, social media channels, and publication materials as needed.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and appropriate reporting of program activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

In addition to the duties described above

  • Coordinate marketing and dissemination efforts related to the CPP
  • Coordinate in-person and web-based trainings for the CPP
  • Complete and maintain continuing education applications and approvals associated with CPP trainings
  • Develop and maintain relations with organizations interested in implementing the CCPP and represent CPP in the public sphere (e.g., training events, conferences)
  • Monitor and maintain stock of CPP materials in preparation for training and dissemination
  • Detail oriented, proficient in using Zoom for meetings/trainings; able to regularly work in-person at the Johns Hopkins campus in Baltimore
On Call Or Non-standard Work Hour Requirements
  • Most CPP trainings will be offered on weekdays. However, if an organization requested to offer a training on a weekend, then the Program Coordinator may be asked to flex their work schedule to accommodate the weekend training offering.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or graduation equivalent.
  • Four years progressively responsible administrative experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with the coordination and implementation of trainings/events
