Job Description Join One of Baltimore’s Leading Automotive Groups Mile One  Autogroup is hiring a Used Car Buyer for Heritage Honda Parkville. We are seeking an experienced automotive professional with strong vehicle appraisal, inventory acquisition, and customer prospecting skills to help expand our pre-owned inventory operation in the Baltimore market.

Retail automotive management

The Used Car Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing quality pre-owned vehicles from private sellers, service drive customers, internet leads, dealer trades, auctions, and equity mining opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Acquisition & Appraisal Appraise used vehicles accurately using current automotive market data Purchase vehicles from multiple acquisition channels

Conduct trade evaluations and attend daily trade walks

Monitor local and regional used vehicle market trends

Identify high-demand inventory opportunities

Customer Prospecting & Relationship Management Contact current vehicle owners regarding vehicle purchase opportunities

Schedule appraisal appointments with prospective sellers

Maintain consistent follow-up communication with leads and prospects

Build long-term customer relationships to generate repeat acquisition opportunities

Inventory & Sales Support Support dealership sales staff with vehicle acquisition opportunities

Assist with inventory strategy and pre-owned inventory management

Utilize dealership CRM tools and internet resources effectively

Analyze performance metrics and acquisition results regularly

Qualifications

Automotive sales or automotive buying experience required

Used car, pre-owned inventory, or appraisal experience preferred

Strong understanding of current used vehicle market conditions

Experience with vehicle valuation tools and automotive CRM platforms

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Strong organizational and follow-up abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Leadership mentality with the ability to lead by example
