Job Description
Police Communications Supervisor – The University of Maryland, Baltimore Department of Police and Public Safety.

Primary Duties:
Qualifications:
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Experience:
Four (4) years as a Police Communications Operator. - Certification:
Must operate a National Criminal Information Center (NCIC). - Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of emergency communications practices and procedures; skill in operation of assigned communications equipment; ability to analyze communication problems and make technical and procedural recommendations; effective oral and written communication; maintain records and prepare written reports; supervise and train staff; calm under pressure.
Conditions of Employment:
- Applicants must submit to and successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation.
- Selected candidates may be subject to medical inquiries and/or medical examination to determine the ability to perform the job.
- Employees must maintain certification for NCIC operation.
- No union participation.
Hiring Range: $71,000 - $73,170.73 pre-probation, commensurate with education and experience.
