Class Description
The purpose of this class is to manage the acquisition of classes, commodities and services through the competitive solicitation process, informal quote process, intergovernmental cooperative purchase agreements and State and local government contracts.
Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree and three years of related experience or Associate’s Degree and five years of related experience required, such as: preparing and conducting solicitations, evaluating bids and proposals, knowledge of and compliance with procurement rules and regulations; knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications and financial management systems.
CompensationCompensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
