Role OverviewGEICO’s Procurement is seeking an experienced Technology Supplier Manager to establish effective governance over GEICO’s supplier partnerships. This role is essential to the successful delivery of key cost, risk, and performance management-related efforts for third‑party relationships leveraged by our line of business, in addition to identifying strategic opportunities for growth and/or greater return on investment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide problem‑solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers; identify cost and value opportunities through savings, efficiencies, and speed to market for our most critical suppliers; develop and lead holistic third‑party specific strategies throughout the entire relationship lifecycle from sourcing, contracting, and terminations.
- Partner to develop the negotiation strategy and execution of high‑visibility contracting efforts for a broad range of services.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage effective governance with assigned third parties.
- Partner with internal risk groups to ensure third‑party relationships are compliant with all relevant policies and procedures, while driving process improvements for sustainability.
- Lead RFx strategy and execution to build leverage with GEICO suppliers and deliver more favorable pricing and contract terms.
- Accountable for policy adherence for all managed third‑party relationships, including planning and leading executive business reviews with key suppliers.
- At least 5 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Project Management, Process Management, or a combination.
- Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills aligned to solving business initiatives.
- Ability to identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies.
- Proven track record of supplier strategy development and execution.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills; ability to communicate contract issues to diverse audiences including executive leadership.
- Provide problem‑solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors to more effectively position GEICO to receive the best value proposals for the company.
- Experience with supplier management and procurement software solutions.
- Experience with SaaS, AI, PaaS, On‑Prem and other technology vendor management, including contracting and negotiation is an advantage.
- 4‑year degree with a major in Finance, Business Administration, or Supplier Management.

Bethesda, MD or Chicago, IL; this is a hybrid role with a 3‑day in‑office requirement. - Annual Salary $95,325.00 - $.
- Annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
