What you'll do
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that align with the company's objectives and ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and establish specifications for products and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, ensuring they meet the company's quality and compliance standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance, addressing any issues that arise to ensure continuity of supply and quality.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and areas for improvement in the acquisition process.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key metrics and insights that inform decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement to continuously enhance the company's acquisition strategies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
  • Participate in supplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or acquisition roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in procurement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
  • Experience in government contracting or working with federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with e-procurement systems and tools.
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly in languages relevant to our supplier base.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume procurement environment.
Skills & tools

The successful candidate will be proficient in various procurement software and tools, including e-sourcing platforms, contract management systems, and data analysis software. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are essential for data analysis and presentation purposes.
