Mission Engineer

• Own customer outcomes and the full lifecycle of Axon's ecosystem within a strategic agency account
• Discover agency problems onsite and translate them into compliant solutions tied to mission outcomes
• Design, build, test, and ship AI agents, workflows, automations, integrations, and data pipelines on Axon's platform
• Configure, integrate, and extend DEMS, Fusus, AI Era, Records, and related systems in agency environments
• Iterate in the field until adoption sticks and document reusable patterns
• Apply CJIS, evidence integrity, and privacy guardrails in every build
• Troubleshoot onsite and coordinate root-cause resolution across Product, Engineering, Support, and Services
• Build and deploy AI-powered workflows using agents, prompts, RAG, and evaluations
• Drive hands-on adoption and measure usage, workflow impact, and mission outcomes
• Assess onsite workflows, identify friction, define build priorities, and validate hypotheses with command staff and operators
• Lead QBRs, mission reviews, and strategic planning with agency leadership and operational stakeholders
• Define success metrics and capture baselines before major deployments
• Share customer insights and field intelligence with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap decisions
• Turn one-off builds into reusable playbooks and operational frameworks
• Identify expansion opportunities and partner with Sales on long-term account strategy
• Maintain onsite presence approximately 3–4 days per week
• Track customer success metrics including production use, adoption depth, workflow improvements, and mission outcomes
• Support Sales-to-Post-Sales onboarding and handoff

• Experience in customer-facing technical roles, program management, operational transformation, or complex deployment environments (typically 8+ years; varied experience welcome)
• Proven builder who has shipped working automations, agents, workflows, integrations, or AI-enabled tools in customer environments
• Experience configuring products, writing integration logic, and delivering production-ready solutions
• Ability to work across hardware, software, cloud, AI-enabled technologies, and integrated systems
• Strong communication with technical teams and senior stakeholders, including command staff in mission-critical environments
• Full ownership mentality in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
• Ability to navigate competing priorities across Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Services
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and adhere to security standards
• Former law enforcement or military experience preferred, not required
• Experience in public safety, law enforcement, corrections, or other mission‑critical operational environments preferred
• Familiarity with Records, Evidence, digital workflows, AI-enabled platforms, or integrated public safety ecosystems preferred
• Background in forward‑deployed engineering, solutions architecture, or operational transformation at scale preferred

Demonstrates expertise in customer outcomes management, AI-enabled solutions development, and operational transformation within mission-critical environments. Proficient in configuring and integrating complex systems while ensuring compliance with CJIS and security standards.
