Structural Concrete Estimator

Belfast Valley Contractors is actively seeking an experienced Structural Concrete Estimator to support operations across both the DMV region and Florida markets. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for structural concrete scopes including formwork, reinforcing steel, post tension systems, and concrete placement.

In addition to core estimating responsibilities, this position supports business development initiatives by assisting with client engagement, preconstruction collaboration, and maintaining strong relationships with general contractors, owners, and design teams.

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for structural concrete scopes including foundations, walls, columns, decks, and site concrete
• Develop accurate cost estimates aligned with historical production data and field input
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda for scope gaps, conflicts, and risk exposure
• Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews during preconstruction
• Support client meetings and assist in presenting scope and pricing strategy
• Maintain ongoing communication with general contractors and clients during bid phases
• Coordinate turnover meetings with operations and project management teams
• Maintain and update cost databases and production benchmarks
• Support business development efforts including market outreach and relationship management
• 5+ years of estimating experience in structural concrete construction
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Working knowledge of formwork systems, rebar installation, post tension, and concrete sequencing
• Strong math, analytical, and computational skills
• Proficiency with takeoff software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple estimates concurrently across different markets
• Strong communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Willingness to travel periodically between DMV and Florida regions as needed
