Job Description
- Plan, budget, schedule, and execute multiple concurrent capital construction projects.
- Support the Director of Construction in implementing the long-term campus master plan.
- Define project scope, goals, timelines, and procurement strategies from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead coordination with architects, engineers, consultants, ownership, and tenants.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, design teams, and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks, cost drivers, and constructability issues; implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Superintendents.
- Manage subcontractor selection, contract negotiation, and performance.
- Track project costs, schedules, RFIs, change orders, and work-in-place.
- Prepare and present conceptual and detailed cost estimates with clear assumptions.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA standards, life-safety requirements, and quality controls.
- Lead jobsite safety, cleanliness, and professional standards across an active, occupied environment.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices, monthly AIA billings, and payment applications.
- Utilize Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam to manage documentation and schedules.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects valued at $25M-$50M+.
- Extensive background in commercial construction, renovations, or adaptive reuse.
- Strong leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Advanced proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
- Deep understanding of building codes, life-safety systems, and OSHA standards.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
- Hands-on field experience with strong drawing and constructability review skills.
- Competitive Salary: $120k - $160k (Depending on experience)
