Commercial Construction Estimator

Baltimore, MD (Greater Baltimore Area)

$90,000 – $130,000 base salary + bonus + full benefits

A well‑established and growing commercial general contractor in the Baltimore area is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing bid processes, and supporting preconstruction efforts for a variety of commercial projects. • Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial construction projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive bids
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Manage the full bid process from prequalification through submission
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and leadership during preconstruction
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market pricing, labor trends, and material costs
• Assist with budgeting, conceptual estimating, and proposal development
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors

• Institutional and education facilities

• 3+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with estimating software (Procore, Bluebeam, Plan Swift, Sage Estimating, or similar)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Effective communication and ability to work in a team environment
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

• Competitive base salary $90,000 - $130,000 and performance‑based bonus
