Construction and Development Manager - Full Time
FTK Hospitality Baltimore | East Coast & Select Midwest Markets (Travel Required)
Join a well-established, multi-market hospitality and entertainment organization as a Construction and Development Manager. In this role, you will lead new build and renovation projects across a dynamic portfolio of restaurant, retail, and hospitality venues. We are looking for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at managing multiple projects while ensuring they meet brand standards and are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Manage new build, renovation, and buildout projects from concept through completion.
- Coordinate with general contractors, architects, and design consultants to ensure project alignment.
- Track budgets, conduct cost analysis, and implement value engineering (VE) processes.
- Review and approve RFIs, ASIs, field directives, and change orders.
- Oversee general contractor schedules and monitor on-site construction progress.
- Participate in punchlist and project turnover processes.
- Prepare project status updates and presentations for leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, and quality specifications.
- 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably in retail and/or hospitality new build projects (restaurants, retail, hotels, or entertainment venues).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and construction scheduling software.
- Strong understanding of construction codes, contracts, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and vendor/stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing competing project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel regularly to East Coast markets with some Midwest travel required.
