Job Description

The Senior Project Manager - Industrial Construction leads complex industrial construction projects on active job sites, providing hands-on management and strategic oversight from planning through closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while serving as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Responsibilities

+ Manage all phases of industrial construction projects from initial planning and design coordination through execution, commissioning, and closeout.

+ Maintain a regular, visible presence on active construction sites to oversee daily activities, monitor progress, and address real-time challenges.

+ Coordinate and direct contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders to keep work on schedule and aligned with project goals.

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, translating their business objectives into clear project plans and successful outcomes.

+ Develop, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring cost control, accurate forecasting, and adherence to financial targets.

+ Create and maintain detailed project schedules, sequencing work efficiently to optimize site logistics and minimize disruption to operations.

+ Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, promoting a safety-first culture and working toward zero-incident job sites in accordance with OSHA standards.

+ Oversee quality control processes, ensuring all work meets specifications, codes, and industry standards, and promptly addressing deficiencies.

+ Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, change orders, and progress updates.

+ Identify risks and issues early, develop mitigation strategies, and lead proactive problem-solving in fast-paced, high-pressure site conditions.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders, including field crews, design teams, and executive leadership, to keep everyone aligned and informed.

+ Manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities, balancing resources and timelines to achieve successful delivery across the portfolio.

+ Support and promote collaborative working relationships across project teams, reinforcing a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

+ Leverage project management tools and methodologies to improve efficiency, track performance, and enhance reporting and decision-making.

+ Drive project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, documentation handover, and lessons-learned reviews.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

+ PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.

+ Minimum 7 years of hands-on project management experience in industrial construction environments.

+ Demonstrated experience working on active construction sites rather than exclusively in office or remote settings.

+ Deep understanding of industrial construction processes, sequencing, and site logistics.

+ Proven track record of managing complex industrial projects from inception through completion.

+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and influence outcomes across all levels of the organization.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with field crews, design professionals, and C-suite executives.

+ Exceptional attention to detail in documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control activities.

+ Thorough knowledge of construction safety standards, including OSHA regulations, and a strong commitment to maintaining safe, zero-incident job sites.

+ Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle competing priorities.

+ Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment when making decisions in high-pressure, fast-paced site conditions.
