** The Student Space Gallery Manager (SSGM) directly supports the Student Space Gallery program, which aims to provide undergraduate and graduate students with an opportunity to exhibit their artwork on campus.**
* ** Promote SSG exhibitions by preparing information about upcoming applications & shows for CSE publicity materials such as: social media, print publications, posters, flyers, gallery prospectus, etc.**
* ** Digitally document shows and archive past exhibitions**
* ** Works collaboratively with one other Student Space Gallery Manager (an undergrad or graduate student) to divide up duties and share responsibilities**
* ** Communicate actively with the Exhibitions Department to prepare for shows**
* ** Organize Jury hiring, Jury meetings/artist application review, and sit as a non-voting member of the Jury.**
* ** Create and facilitate other programs such as Artist Talk to build and grow the program.**
* ** Other duties as deemed necessary by Associate Director of Student Engagement**
* ** Demonstrates efficient time management while prioritizing workload**
* ** Strong organizational skills and attention to detail**
* ** Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills**
* ** Ability to deliver constructive feedback**
* ** Ability to assist with exhibition install/de-install**
* ** Must be a currently enrolled MICA undergraduate student at time of employment**
* ** Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5**
* ** Demonstrated leadership abilities**
* ** Communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail**
* ** A desire to serve the MICA community**
* ** Previous gallery and/or exhibition experience strongly preferred**
* ** Curatorial experience a plus, but not necessary**
* ** Peer-advising experience**
* ** Experience with marketing**
* *** Physical Demands:
* While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.**

* While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal to moderate.
