Charles Street Dental is a friendly, close-knit dental practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Dental Assistant to join our team. Our office provides a warm, welcoming environment where patient care is our top priority. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing and sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. You’ll also help with patient education, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed about their treatments. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are key to succeeding in this role.
ScheduleMonday 8:00am - 3:30pm and Wednesday 7:30am - 4:30pm with 60 minute lunch breaks.

- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (required experience with scanning and fabricate temporaries)
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Set up and break down treatment rooms before and after procedures
- Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Assist with taking dental impressions and preparing materials for dental appliances
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Welcome patients and ensure patient comfort and help ease anxiety during treatments
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in the practice
- Other tasks as instructed
- Active Maryland dental assistant EFDA license
- Maryland Radiology license required
- Dental Assistant training/school certification
- 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Experience with digital software, Soft Dent preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
