Dental Hygienist - Clinic

Overview

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at a facility in Baltimore, MD. Pay Rate: $61 / hour.

• Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient.
• Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team‑based environment.
• Handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations.
• Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment (if required).
• Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with state guidelines.
• Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
• Provide nutritional counseling and self‑care programs to prevent disease.
• Record and review patient medical histories.
• Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Order and keep track of inventory as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• This job operates in a medical/clinical environment, using computers, x‑rays, and phones.
• Work occurs in a well‑lighted, sterile environment; employees must wear gloves, masks, protective eye wear, and protective clothing.
• Employee must frequently talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift/move objects up to 25 pounds.
• Employee is regularly exposed to blood and blood‑borne pathogens and/or physical risks, requiring OSHA training.

• One (1) year of hands‑on experience as a hygienist.
• Experience operating GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.

• Current state‑issued Dental Hygiene license.
• CPR certification.
• X‑ray training or certification.
