Overview
Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at a facility in Baltimore, MD. Pay Rate: $61 / hour.
Responsibilities- Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient.
- Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team‑based environment.
- Handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations.
- Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment (if required).
- Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with state guidelines.
- Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
- Provide nutritional counseling and self‑care programs to prevent disease.
- Record and review patient medical histories.
- Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Order and keep track of inventory as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This job operates in a medical/clinical environment, using computers, x‑rays, and phones.
- Work occurs in a well‑lighted, sterile environment; employees must wear gloves, masks, protective eye wear, and protective clothing.
- Employee must frequently talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift/move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Employee is regularly exposed to blood and blood‑borne pathogens and/or physical risks, requiring OSHA training.
- One (1) year of hands‑on experience as a hygienist.
- Experience operating GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.
- Current state‑issued Dental Hygiene license.
- CPR certification.
- X‑ray training or certification.
