Senior Designer

CSP is partnering with a construction leader of sun shades, architectural facades and interior battens/baffles. We collaborate with architects, designers, glaziers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders from concept to completion—solving design and construction challenges while driving successful project outcomes.

We are hiring for a Senior CAD 3D Designer. You'll be producing 3D models, fabrication drawings, and connection details for custom aluminum facades, blade sunshades, louvered screens, and brise-soleil. You will report to the Design Engineering Manager and partner with architects, engineers, and project teams to turn design intent into manufacturable, code-compliant assemblies.

• Build 3D models and shop drawings for aluminum facade panels, curtain walls, sunshades, and louvered systems.
• Detail connections, anchors, thermal breaks, and movement joints; resolve clashes with structure, glazing, and MEP.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, PMs, and estimators on scope, schedule, and submittal/RFI responses.
• Maintain CAD standards, support field installation, and mentor junior detailers.

• 5+ years construction detailing experience (custom aluminum facades or exterior sunshade systems for commercial construction highly preferred)
• Expert in 3D CAD (AutoCAD, Solid Works, Inventor, Revit, or equivalent) with complex parametric assemblies.
• Deep knowledge of aluminum extrusions, finishes (anodized/PVDF), fasteners, and connection engineering.
• Familiar with AAMA, ASTM, AISC, and applicable building codes
• Direct experience with blade sunshades, louvered facades, or hybrid shading/cladding systems
• BIM/Navisworks clash detection in a facade subcontractor environment
• LEED/WELL or energy-code exposure; degree in Drafting, Architectural Tech, or Mechanical Design.
