Assistant Professor​/Associate Professor Headache Specialty

The University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member with specialty training in Headaches to work in the Department of Neurology. The Department provides evaluation, treatment, and care for patients with various neurological disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, ALS, and migraine. Services include inpatient and consultative care, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, a Neuro-Critical Care Unit, outpatient services, and rehabilitation.

Faculty are involved in NIH and VA-funded research on genetics, imaging, biomarkers, and neurodevelopmental disorders, and many lead clinical trials for new therapies.

The faculty member will focus on expanding a multidisciplinary outpatient practice for headache, migraine, and facial pain syndromes. Responsibilities include inpatient consultations, procedures such as chemodenervation, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, infusion protocols, and coordinating clinical trials. Collaboration with behavioral health and integrative services is expected. The role also involves teaching medical students and residents, and assisting with launching a headache fellowship.
