The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications from visionary academic leaders to serve as Director of the Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology. This leadership position represents an exceptional opportunity to guide a highly respected Division within one of the world’s premier academic medical institutions, encompassing the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

We seek an academic leader with a demonstrated history of excellence in clinical care, research, education, and mentorship. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a commitment to advancing the fields of pediatric allergy, immunology, and rheumatology, and a dedication to fostering an inclusive, collegial, and collaborative environment. The Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology is internationally recognized for its comprehensive clinical programs and its pioneering contributions to understanding and treating allergic disease, asthma, immunodeficiency, and autoimmune disorders. The Division includes seven full-time faculty in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology and three full-time faculty in Pediatric Rheumatology. Faculty members maintain extensive collaborations across Johns Hopkins and with national and international partners, translating scientific discovery into innovative therapies for children with complex immune-mediated conditions.

The Division also oversees a longstanding, and highly regarded, Allergy and Immunology fellowship program, supported by a T32 training grant that has been continuously funded for more than four decades, underscoring the institution’s enduring commitment to training future leaders in the discipline.

Qualified applicants must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology or Pediatric Rheumatology. Candidates should demonstrate a sustained record of scholarly achievement, excellence in patient care and education, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
