Position: Academic Electrophysiologist (3-309-1234

Overview

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting an Electrophysiologist for its expanding Electrophysiology program. The EP service performs complex ablation of ventricular tachycardia and atrial arrhythmias, extractions, biventricular pacing, atrial appendage closures, and innovative device therapy. Candidates will expand clinical programs and provide patient care at the University of Maryland Medical Center and EP outpatient clinics.

Faculty

Appointment

The position is a full‑time faculty appointment. Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher; rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary Range

Assistant Professors: $225,077 (min) – $553,590 (max). This range is base pay; additional compensation may be available through variable compensation programs and other benefits.

Qualifications
  • Medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent)
  • Board eligible or board certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland
  • Strong interest and experience in teaching and clinical activities
  • Demonstrated research experience (desired)
  • Interest in equity, diversity, inclusion, and civility (optional)
