Title: Tutor (Pool)
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
Work Arrangement: Part Time – up to 25 hours per week, varying Monday–Sunday schedule.
Duration: One semester (15 weeks). Position may be renewed in subsequent semesters based on performance.

Duties include:
- Providing individual, group, and drop‑in tutoring sessions.
- Learning and applying teaching pedagogy.
- Tutoring content and study‑skill strategies.
- Attending mandatory orientation for new tutors.
- Completing HCC online required training.
- Completing required administrative tasks, such as filling out paperwork related to tutoring sessions.
- Working as a team player and abiding by LAC policies and procedures.
- Preferred Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject. Peer Tutors must be sophomores in college with a minimum 3.00 semester GPA for two consecutive semesters and at least a “B” grade in each course (or equivalent) the tutor wishes to teach.
Learning Assistance Center Tutor Form is required. Please follow the LAC Tutor Form to complete it. Pre‑employment criminal background investigation is a condition of employment.
