Digital Arts Teacher

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking an Upper School Digital Art Teacher for for the school year at an independent school in Brooklandville, MD.

Teaching assignments ranging from, but are not limited to:

• Graphic design
• Animation
• Photography
• Video Production
• Emerging Media
• Design and teach courses for upper school students in graphic design, digital illustration, animation, photography, video production, and emerging media.
• Integrate technology such as Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Procreate, and digital photography equipment into lessons.
• Plan student showcases that display and honor student artwork.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams to align art curriculum with school-wide learning objectives.
• Create lessons that build an excitement for art.
• Communicate with parents to discuss student’s progress.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and professional development sessions.

• Bachelor’s degree required, master's degree preferred in an art field.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the K-12 preferred.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and other digital art platforms.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.

• Willingness to work with middle or high school students.
• Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
