We are seeking a Catholic part-time High School/Middle School teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom at our center in Sykesville, MD. Classes may include Math, Language Arts, and Religion. You do not need a teaching certification nor formal teaching experience to apply. We will teach you everything you need to know.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver instruction on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:25 am to 4:00 pm in a highly structured classroom environment.
- Develop lesson plans and classroom materials that align with Regina Caeli Academy’s Socratic methodology.
- Prepare for classes at home and arrive on time, ready to teach.
- Attend mandatory training sessions on August 3, 4, and 6, 2026 (8 am–5 pm) before classroom work.
- Maintain a professional, Catholic-centered learning environment and demonstrate a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
- Knowledge of Latin and experience homeschooling or working with homeschool students.
- Previous ministry experience in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, or teaching your own children.
- Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
- Standard computer skills, preferably with Google Suite or an equivalent.
- Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and a deep love for the Catholic faith, with receipt of all sacraments appropriate to one’s life stage.
- Clear background check and completion of RCA Safe Child training before teaching.
- Must live the Catholic faith daily and be ready to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
Regina Caeli Academy ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition. The position is hourly and childcare/nursery is provided.
Hours are Mondays and Thursdays 9:25 am – 4:00 pm.
Applicants must be available to attend the mandatory training on August 3, 4, 6, 2026 prior to working in the classroom (8 am–5 pm; no childcare provided, nursing babies always welcome).
