This posting calls for qualified faculty to teach in‑person or online college‑level courses in Composition (ENGL 121), College Composition support/corequisite courses (similar to developmental writing), Literature, and/or Information Literacy (INFO 100) in the Learning Engagement division. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive teaching materials, collaborative departmental support, professional development opportunities, and may take part in special projects or tutoring center work.
Essential Role Responsibilities- Prepare course materials and learning management system (Canvas) course sites.
- Attend required faculty and staff meetings and complete necessary training.
- Meet with students as needed and grade/assess student work.
- Deliver quality instruction in class or online.
- Fulfill other employment-related requirements from the division and the college.
- Master's degree in composition, creative writing, curriculum & instruction, English, literacy, literature, professional writing, reading, or a related field.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Compassionate, student‑centered teaching approach.
- Ability to teach face‑to‑face and/or online, including use of a learning management system (Canvas).
- Compete to teach 1–3 courses per semester based on schedule and availability.
