Job Description
The Master of Arts in Teaching program invites applications for the establishment of a Pool for Part‑time Instructors of Art Education. Qualified applicants will be placed in the program pool and will be considered for part‑time departmental needs. Positions vary each semester and may include supervision of student teachers, internship mentorship, and literacy in the content area. We may have openings in one or more of some of these areas.
The MAT program is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and extensive experience in working in PK‑12 visual arts classrooms.
- Minimum M.A. in Art Education or related field
- Experience teaching at the college level
- Experience teaching in PK-12 visual arts classrooms
- Satisfactory Background check
- Successful candidates will be subject to a pre‑employment background check.
