The University of Maryland CTEM is expanding its faculty diversity by recruiting several new members at the Assistant Professor rank, with higher ranks considered. Candidates with PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degrees who conduct research that complements one of the center’s three research pillars – neurodevelopment and psychiatric disorders, neurotrauma and brain injury, and neurodegeneration and aging – will be prioritized. The role offers a highly competitive salary and recruitment package and a collaborative research environment with state‑of‑the‑art facilities.

• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD with a strong record of scholarly activity and external funding.
• Research aligning with one of CTEM’s pillars: neurodevelopment & psychiatric disorders, neurotrauma & brain injury, or neurodegeneration & aging.
• Preferred rank:
  Assistant Professor; higher ranks considered based on experience.
• Potential to develop an independent research program and teach undergraduate or graduate courses.
• Commitment to a supportive, collaborative environment and active mentorship.
• Salary range: $170,000–$275,000 (base pay).
