Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Our motto at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart", and we are looking for private music instructors who share the same philosophy. We strive to make music lessons accessible and affordable to as many people as possible because we believe the importance of music education is essential to making the world a better, happier place.

Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for Voice. We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in the Baltimore, MD area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP. Lessons can occur in the students' homes; in your own home or your own studio/rehearsal space; or via webcam. While most students prefer in‑person lessons, we need local instructors willing to travel to students in the Baltimore area.

You will be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20 and $30 per hour, dependent on travel time, your experience and education, and your student retention rate. You have the freedom to set your own schedule and create your own curriculum and lesson plans. We will handle advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing so you can focus on the music.

Responsibilities
  • Provide voice lessons to students locally or via webcam.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lesson content according to your own curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment: wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with the Taylor Robinson Music office.
  • Be punctual and organized for all lessons.
Qualifications
  • Formal music training is not mandatory.
  • Must have a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or prior teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching voice preferred.
  • Great with children, organized, and reliable.
