Job Summary
The Early College Admissions Program (ECAP) is a Baltimore County Public School (BCPS) magnet program that partners with the Community College of Baltimore County to provide a college‑preparatory program that combines high school and college coursework. Students earn a high‑school diploma and an Associate of Arts in General Studies degree—or up to 60 credits toward a bachelor’s degree—with tuition‑free college credits earned at either campus.
The program is designed for a diverse student population and emphasizes rigorous academic standards.
Adjunct faculty working in ECAP must follow a high‑school schedule and manage classes during specified weekdays. Classes may rotate week to week and several may be scheduled within a single week. A brief orientation may be required before classes begin. Faculty may be expected on Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, with limited availability outside these hours.
Responsibilities- Master’s degree or higher in Human Communication, Communication Studies or a related field.
- Higher Education and/or pre‑K–12 teaching experience.
- Competence and experience in the relevant academic field.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Prior experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Prior college teaching experience preferred.
$1085 per credit hour
