Adjunct Nursing Faculty

BCCC serves over 7,500
* students annually, providing credits that transfer to four-year colleges and universities as well as workforce training leading directly to job placement. The College is proud of the fact that over 50 nations are represented within the student body.
* Based on the annual unduplicated credit and non-credit headcount for FY 2023.
- Based on master syllabus, design and teach assigned class session(s), leveraging digital content and multi-media resources in the classroom.
- Educate, monitor, and evaluate the student in the laboratory and clinical settings.
- Assess student engagement/understanding during each class session and throughout the semester
- Collect, grade, and report assignments and homework
- Maintain and update the syllabus and course materials and make sure they are available through the College's Learning Management System
- Advise learners in ways to help them meet their educational goals
- Use a variety of strategies to assess and evaluate learning.
- Provide timely, thoughtful and constructive feedback to learners
- Collaboration in a multicultural environment
Employees in this classification receive supervision from the Associate Dean of Nursing.
Required QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience obtained within the last 3 – 5 years in the areas of Medical-Surgical, Obstetric, Pediatric and Psychiatric nursing
- Two (2) years of teaching experience
- Current RN Licensure in the state of MD
- Current CPR certification [American Heart Association]
- Annual PPD [tuberculin] testing
Position Specific Requirement:
- Full background investigation
- Physical examinations and immunizations
- Master's degree in nursing
- Four (4) years of teaching experience
