The Walters Art Museum Library and Archives Graduate Internship is open to graduate students in good standing or recently graduated from an accredited MLS, MLIS, or equivalent program. Applicants should have some background in the History of Art and Library Science. To be considered for this opportunity, you must be at least 18 years of age, be able to lift 30 pounds, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
As an intern, you will observe professional workflows and best practices in access, description, and user services. You will gain familiarity with museum library and archival environments, develop foundational skills through practice‑based exercises, and receive feedback and mentorship from professional staff. Interns will also complete a defined learning project. This internship is offered in Baltimore, MD.
