Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) in Baltimore is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure‑track, 12‑month Faculty member and Graduate Research Coordinator in the Art Therapy department, beginning Fall 2026.
The Graduate Art Therapy Program Research Coordinator would teach six courses per academic year. Courses may include, but are not exclusive to, those leading to and through the thesis/research process:
Research Methods and Thesis Seminar. Graduate Art Therapy Program Research Coordinator would be responsible for coordinating and supporting the process of student research, IRB engagement, and thesis capstone work, reporting on progress and outcomes to the Graduate Program Director.
The CAAHEP accredited MA in Art Therapy Program at NDMU is a traditional, in‑person program. The position will assist with annual accreditation reporting as needed. They will also be expected to be engaged in their own scholarship/professional activities, as well as to serve on school and University committees.

Faculty are expected to be deeply involved in the life of the University, including advising students, supporting the work of faculty committees, and participating in major University events.
This position must be filled by an art therapist who holds: an MA in Art Therapy (or PhD); an ATR‑BC (Registered and Board‑Certified Art Therapist, or currently eligible for BC), and licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in the State of Maryland as an art therapist (LCPAT).
Candidate should also demonstrate:
- Professional Art Therapy practice within the past 5 years.
- Active participation in state, national, and local professional organizations.
- Evidence of continuing scholarly work and research agenda.
All NDMU faculty members must have demonstrated ability in teaching across varied course delivery modes, and they must be comfortable with online learning systems. Faculty are expected to be on‑campus regularly. Prior college‑level teaching experience is expected.
