Position Summary

Adjunct Faculty position in the MA in Film and Media at Johns Hopkins University, located at the JHU‑MICA Film Centre in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves teaching courses and engaging a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

Teach courses within the MA in Film and Media program, engage students from diverse backgrounds, and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced degree, master’s degree at minimum
  • At least five years of professional work experience with film/television strategic communications, marketing and/or publicity
Preferred Qualifications
  • A terminal degree in a relevant field related to Film and Media.
  • 1‑3 years of higher education teaching experience.
  • Experience in developing graduate courses (helpful but not necessary).
  • Experience in marketing and/or publicity (Film and Media Openings).
  • Global Communications Strategy and Promotions.
  • Film Festivals (National and/or International).
  • Premiering Films, Media, Author and other Arts Events.
  • Branding and Promotions (Entertainment field).

Salary

Salary: $6,500. The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University’s good faith belief at the time of posting.
