ESOL Adjunct Faculty

CCBC seeks creative adjunct ESOL instructors to join our academic ESOL program. The program offers courses Monday through Friday in the morning, afternoon, and evening, with plans to expand Saturday classes. Courses are taught on our four campuses – Essex, Catonsville, Owings Mills, and Dundalk – and in multiple modalities: on‑site, blended, online, and remote synchronous. Adjunct instructors may teach up to 9 credits.

The courses follow a theme‑based integrated skills approach, with some taught through Open Educational Resources.

Pay Level: $1,085.00 per credit hour.

• Master’s Degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience teaching multilingual adult students in an adult basic education program, intensive language program, or accredited language school.
• Experience teaching an ESOL program in a community college or university (preferred).
• Strong instructional technology and learning management (LMS) skills; experience with Brightspace is preferred.
