Overview
BCCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our part-time faculty position to teach Philosophy courses. Part-time appointments are made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses, which may include day, night, or weekend courses.
- Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes student learning.
- Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
- Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
- Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
- Attend meetings, training, and orientations as required.
- Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise.
- Fulfill responsibilities for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
- Masters degree in philosophy or closely related field
- Strong understanding of Philosophy
- Experience teaching Philosophy
- Ability to apply philosophy teaching to current events
- 3 years of experience teaching philosophy
- Experience using a Learning Management System to teach
