The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a
Medical Training Program Administrator to support the Office of Medical Student Curriculum.

The Medical Training Program Administrator (MTPA) provides high-level administrative and operational support for assigned educational activities within Undergraduate Medical Education(UME), including courses, clerkships, and horizontal strands in thefour-year M.D. curriculum. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and professional administration of assigned courses and serves as a key member of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Office of Medical Student Curriculum(OMSC) team.

MTPA works in a fast-paced, collaborative, student-centered environment and interacts regularly with faculty, academic leadership, administrative staff, and medical students across the institution.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides primary administrative support to assigned course directors.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for students enrolled in assigned courses.
  • Coordinates daily course operations and ensure seamless delivery of course activities.
  • Manages course content, communications, and materials through the learning management system (LMS).
  • Manages course-related platforms, including OASIS,Activ Tracker, and New Innovations.
  • Coordinates room reservations and logistical arrangements forcourse events and activities.
  • Prepares final grades and submit them to the Registrar’s Officein accordance with established deadlines and procedures.
  • Maintains attendance tracking systems and generate related reports.
  • Schedules and organize course director meetings and distribute course evaluations.
  • Provides backup administrative support for other courses asneeded.
  • Communicates consistently and professionally with students regarding course requirements, schedules, logistics, and expectations.
  • Collaborates with the Offices of Online Education and Information Technology to support instructional sessions, online resources, and approved student accommodations.
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of curricular goals,objectives, policies, procedures, and standards of performance for assigned courses.
  • Represents course directors at committee meetings and communicate decisions, issues, and recommendations as needed.
  • Monitors student formative and summative evaluation processes.
  • Maintains accurate, complete, and confidential student records and files.
  • Alerts course directors to performance concerns, discrepancies,or other issues requiring attention.
  • Assists with preparation of reports and materials for the Student Assessment and Formational Committees and the Professionalism Committee.
  • Supports planning and implementation of curricular events,including retreats and Interprofessional Education (IPE) activities.
  • Proctors and administers NBME shelf examinations and other required examinations.
  • Maintains knowledge of the UME calendar and course offerings.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and effective communication in all interactions.
  • Contributes to a diverse, inclusive, and student-focused environment.
  • Attends meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Four years related administrative experience
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience,and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, tothe extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education.
