Job Overview

The Training & Data Coordinator will design and deliver comprehensive work readiness training tailored to diverse learning needs, including English language learners. Trainings are designed to support job seekers across professional backgrounds and industries as they build skills for professional and economic success. The training and data coordinator will maintain training attendance and assessment data and will support broader economic empowerment data collection and maintenance alongside supervisors and the program manager.

This position is expected to end on 09/30/2027.

Responsibilities
  • Develop an engaging and relevant economic empowerment training series that uses best practices and meets program, funder and participant needs.
  • Align training with industry trends, workforce demands and ESL best practices.
  • Maintain and clearly communicate a consistent training schedule.
  • Coordinate training logistics and ensuring timely, goal-aligned delivery that meets participant and program needs.
  • Deliver engaging trainings that meet diverse learning styles, literacy levels, and language needs.
  • Trainings will primarily be delivered in-person to groups of participants and using interpreters.
  • At times, virtual or small group / individual training may be delivered.
  • Maintain training attendance and assessment records, per program and funder requirements.
  • Assess training needs and effectiveness by administering assessments, gathering feedback, analyzing data, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate and refine training content and delivery methods based on individual and program needs.
  • Work with program leads to update, improve and integrate relevant training topics.
  • Serve as an economic empowerment data lead, supporting supervisors and the program manager in maintaining comprehensive, consistent, accurate and accessible program data.
  • Improve existing systems, keeping in mind both data and programmatic needs.
  • Compile, analyze, and report program data for Economic Empowerment donor reports, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting on program outcomes and impact.
  • Collaborate with other departments, ensuring training is accessible and the needs of various teams, clients and grants are met.
  • Supervise and mentor interns and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Education, Social Sciences, International Studies or a related field, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • TESOL training or certification is desired.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience designing curricula and implementing training programs to diverse, multi-lingual participants with a wide range of professional backgrounds.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in workforce development or economic empowerment, preferably working with a diverse immigrant population.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. job market and workforce services required; familiarity with the Maryland job market a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and online databases.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to develop data systems and manage large datasets accurately and efficiently.
  • Experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets, using formulas and functions, filtering and sorting data, generating reports, and working with pivot tables.
