Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Education to join the leadership team at their premier childcare center in Baltimore, MD 21230. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education.
- This is a Direct Hire position with the school
- Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Salary:$65,000–$75,000 per year, based on education, credentials, and experience
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Education to join the leadership team at a premier childcare center in Baltimore, MD 21230.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys building relationships with children, families, and staff. The Director of Education will oversee the center's educational programming, staff development, daily operations, and compliance while helping create a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment.

Oversee the center's educational programs and curriculum
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to teaching staff
Recruit, onboard, train, and develop faculty and classroom staff
Build strong, positive relationships with children and families
Plan and oversee special events, activities, and educational programming
Monitor classroom quality and ensure developmentally appropriate practices
Maintain compliance with Maryland childcare licensing regulations and center policies
Support health, safety, and quality assurance initiatives
Assist with budgeting, financial management, and operational planning
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student, staff, and licensing records
Address parent and staff concerns professionally and effectively
Promote a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented school culture
Step into various roles as needed to support the successful operation of the center
Maintain a professional, positive, and upbeat attitude in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
Appropriate Maryland childcare/early childhood education credentials or qualifications required to serve in a director-level role
At least 1 year of experience as a Director of Education
At least 3 years of lead teaching experience in early childhood education, preferably working with children from birth through age 5
Strong knowledge of child development, early learning best practices, classroom management, and staff development
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with families and staff
Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting high-quality early childhood education
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records
Must meet all applicable background check and childcare licensing requirements
