The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Fluid Mechanics. Candidates with a background in all areas offluid mechanics, including both experimental and computationalexpertise, will be considered.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering has 31 tenured andtenure-track faculty members, 18 research and teaching faculty members, 301 undergraduates, 344 graduate students, and 23postdocs. The Whiting School of Engineering and the Johns Hopkins University actively encourage and support interdisciplinaryresearch through school-level research centers and cross-divisionalresearch institutes. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in an engineering or a closely related field and will be expected to establish an independent and internationally recognized research program. Salary RangeThe referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximumsalaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
