Kiddie Academy of Abingdon, the corporately owned Academy, has a rewarding opportunity for a patient, flexible, and nurturing person to join our team as a Full-Time Lead PreK or Twos Teacher. You’ll use your caring attitude, creative nature and excellent communication skills in the classroom to foster curriculum-based play. Among your responsibilities will be:

• Planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® curriculum.
• Providing general classroom supervision, which includes personal care, hygiene and positive guidance for the children.
• Prepare materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in active play.

• 1-year minimum early childhood education work experience
• 45 Hour Infant Toddler Certification required, 90 Hour Preschool Certification is preferred in addition.
• Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state of Maryland and local regulatory agencies
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high and pass a medical exam/physical
