About the Role:As a Training Facilitator, you will join an exceptional team of trainers and work under MND’s Training Director to support the development, implementation, and presentation of our training curriculum. MND is seeking an engaging Training Facilitator with hands‑on knowledge of the building and construction trades to deliver workforce training that prepares participants for careers in the skilled trades. The ideal candidate combines strong instructional and facilitation skills with practical experience in construction, mechanical systems, or a related trade.
This individual will help participants build confidence while introducing industry terminology, tools, safety practices, basic construction math, blueprint reading, measurements, and employer expectations. While MND provides training on our curriculum, candidates should possess foundational knowledge of the building and construction trades and be comfortable discussing industry practices, tools, safety, and career pathways with participants, and bring relevant industry experience and the ability to connect real‑world jobsite applications to classroom instruction.
and Responsibilities
- -Provide support to the Training and Services teams in all necessary areas, including industry‑related skills and knowledge in all forms (written, online, and video)
- -Serve as Training Facilitator in‑person and online
- -Facilitate building trades pre‑apprenticeship curriculum using real‑world construction examples and industry best practices.
- -Demonstrate the safe use, identification, and purpose of common construction hand and power tools.
- -Introduce participants to construction terminology, blueprint reading, measurements, basic construction math, material identification, and jobsite safety.
- -Lead hands‑on classroom activities and skills labs that reinforce construction concepts.
- -Coordinate and supervise participant activities during employer visits, union training center tours, and hands‑on learning experiences.
- -Maintain training equipment, tools, and instructional materials to ensure a safe and organized learning environment.
- -Foster relationships with employers, apprenticeship programs, unions, and industry partners to ensure training remains aligned with current workforce needs.
- -Perform regional and national industry research to assist the organization in identifying future growth industry sectors for training opportunities for clients
- -Manage industry‑related materials and data to best support curriculum development
- -Engage clients and other business community stakeholders to participate in training
- -Conduct surveys and assessments to support the Training Director
- -Collaborate with staff to brainstorm additional industry options and opportunities
- -Assist with all technology aspects, including, but not limited to, You Tube, Kahoot, Survey Monkey, Zoom, Email, Office 365, Canva, Microsoft, and Google platforms
- -Attend all partnership, services, and staff meetings as required
- -Other duties as assigned
