Classical Guitar Teacher; Part-Time

Position: Guitar Teacher
Job Type: Part-Time, W-2 Employee
Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:00-8:30 p.m.
Pay: $30–$35 per teaching hour, based on education and teaching experience, plus benefits

Baltimore School of Music is one of Maryland's premier community music schools, serving hundreds of students each week in a collaborative, student-centered environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic Guitar Teacher with a strong classical guitar background to join our growing faculty and inspire students of all ages through exceptional music education.

• Provide engaging, high-quality private classical guitar instruction to children, teens, and adults
• Teach 30, 45, and 60-minute private lessons
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, auditions, and personal musical goals
• Build positive relationships with students and families that support long-term musical growth
• Encourage participation in recitals, camps, ensembles, and other school programs that enrich the student experience
• Maintain accurate lesson notes and communicate student progress when appropriate
• Participate in faculty meetings, recitals, and other school activities as requested

• Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent professional teaching experience preferred; current college students pursuing a degree in music are encouraged to apply
• Previous experience teaching private classical guitar lessons
• Strong classical guitar performance skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching students of all ages and abilities
• Reliable availability during scheduled teaching days
• Authorization to work in the United States
