Overview
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems / Combat Sensors is seeking experienced engineers with expertise in the design, integration, and production support of back-end RF subsystems and assemblies related to Signal Conversion Technology, receivers, and exciters. Two positions are tied to workload forecast demand IDs 287221 and 254712. Qualified candidates will lead a diverse team of engineers in development, integration, and production support, applying advanced technical principles to RF/microwave systems and related hardware.
Responsibilities- Develop RF receiver/ exciter architectures and drive requirements flow-down.
- Conduct RF subsystem analysis, including hardware from RF to digits, RF performance modeling, and test integration for requirements verification.
- Interface with adjacent subsystems and the top-level system; work under consultative direction toward long-range goals.
- Apply technical principles to design, integration, and production support of back-end Signal Conversion Technology products.
- Lead and contribute to a team of engineers in development, integration, and production activities for next-generation receiver/exciter systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 14 years of experience in the described areas or 12 years with a Master's and/or 8 years with a PhD.
- US Citizenship and a current active Secret Clearance.
- Ability to develop novel solutions to complex RF/Microwave design and test problems requiring ingenuity.
- Subject matter expertise in RF/Microwave disciplines including receiver/exciter technology, antennas, RF components & assemblies, requirements development, EM and related modeling & simulation, RF test verification, production test support, and design for producibility.
- Proficiency with RF/Microwave modeling, simulation and PCB design tools (e.g., ANSYS HFSS/Maxwell, CST Microwave, Eagleware/Genesys, Hyper Lynx, Keysight ADS, Xpedition, AutoCAD).
- Leadership experience overseeing engineers at senior levels.
- Ability to design, implement, install and maintain electrical systems.
