Responsibilities
- Analyze Non‑Conformances:
Review manufacturing defects or damage (e.g., oversized holes, cracks, corrosion) on metallic and composite parts. - Perform Stress Analysis:
Conduct structural analysis (hand calculations, Finite Element Analysis – FEA) to verify proposed repairs or acceptances. - Provide Dispositions:
Determine appropriate actions for non‑conforming parts (accept as is, repair, rework, scrap). - Collaborate:
Work with design, quality, manufacturing, and Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) teams. - Document:
Prepare technical reports and strength check notes for formal approval. - Support Production:
Expedite resolutions for critical AOG (Aircraft on Ground) issues. - Represent MRB Engineering in Material Review Boards (MRBs) and ensure timely resolution of nonconformances to minimize production disruptions.
- Experience with Stress Justification Reports or structural substantiation.

- Experience with Stress Justification Reports or structural substantiation.
- Strong background in structural analysis and mechanics of materials.
- Proficiency in FEA software and stress calculation methods.
- Understanding of aerospace materials (composites, alloys) and standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
- 8+ years of related professional stress experience.
- Experience with stress analysis reports or structural substantiation.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Catia/Enovia preferred).
- Strong understanding of aircraft structures, design guidelines, composite and metallic failure modes.
- Excellent communication skills to interface with cross‑functional and multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Dedicated aerospace MRB experience of at least 5+ years.
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders and/or stairs.
- Ability to position self for inspection including confined, elevated, and loud noise spaces.
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Effectively communicate in business English language.
