Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Manager Mission Assurance 2 who will be supporting the Global Mission Solutions Business Unit to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland.

This position is required to be on site at Baltimore, Maryland.

Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and program functions to ensure quality standards are in place and program quality is controlled. The Program Mission Assurance Manager 2 oversees a team of quality engineers supporting across deliverable products and contracts to facilitate on time, compliant deliveries. As a manager, they ensure quality assurance tests are in place; and aids the team in performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

They collaborate with Supply Chain and Supplier Mission Assurance to ensure timely disposition of supplier issues. In addition, they serve as the program interface to the customer quality organization. Ensure that Root Cause Corrective Action activities are performed when required and that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six‑sigma quality engineering methodologies. Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one functional area in the Mission and Quality Assurance job family.

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of quality, engineering or manufacturing work experience, Master’s and 6 years of quality or manufacturing work experience; will also consider 12 years of quality or manufacturing experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of people leadership experience in a quality, engineering or manufacturing team environment.
• Experience working with Government agencies.
• Experienced background in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or 8D activities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
