This role requires U.S. Citizenship due to Clearance requirements and may require an onsite presence at the USCG St. Elizabeths campus.

• Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise to USCG stakeholders on systems engineering matters, including system design, development, and integration.
• Refine and implement USCG-focused SELC policies, processes, and procedures in support of MSAM/NMAP acquisition program management and governance.
• Conduct assessments of system software components, including design document reviews, code reviews, and testing, to ensure compliance with system requirements and standards.
• Support integration and testing of complex systems—overseeing system integration, testing, and validation—to ensure systems meet performance, security, and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date systems documentation, including system design documents, test plans, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, systems engineering, and acquisition stakeholders, to ensure cohesive system design and delivery.
• Perform systems analysis and risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop and execute system validation and verification plans, including testing and validation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with system requirements, performance benchmarks, and security standards, and report deviations or issues to key stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering, including experience with hardware, software, and firmware components.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with system integration, testing, validation, and documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience supporting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or U.S. Coast Guard programs.
• Familiarity with USCG systems or large‑scale enterprise integration efforts.
• Experience supporting the Acquisition Lifecycle.
