Field Engineer (Traveling) Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting the superintendent in various commercial construction projects along the east coast, ranging from interior renovations to ground-up projects with budgets between $1 million and $10 million. The Field Engineer will play a key role in subcontractor selection, budget and schedule creation, progress meeting coordination, permitting and inspection oversight, client communication, and document management.

• Assist in overseeing subcontractor selection and management.
• Create and manage project budgets and schedules.
• Conduct and facilitate progress meetings.
• Oversee permitting and inspections for projects.
• Maintain effective communication with clients.
• Manage construction documents including RFIs, submittals, and blueprints.
• Support the superintendent on-site, managing subcontractors and schedules.

• 1+ years of experience in a field engineer or assistant superintendent role for a commercial general contractor.
• Proficiency in project management, construction management, and scheduling.
• Experience with RFI, submittals, and construction document management.
• Ability to read blueprints and manage document control.

• Recent experience overseeing commercial projects over $1 million.
• Experience in contractor selection and management.
• Skills in meeting coordination and facilitation.
• Estimating support experience is a plus.

This position involves working both in an office located in Aberdeen and on project sites. The office environment is newly renovated and consists of a 10-person team. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Baltimore, MD.
