About Your Role

CMTS is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support aviation, transportation, and public infrastructure capital improvement projects throughout the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) Region. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and analyzing project schedules to support successful project delivery across multiple capital improvement initiatives.

The Project Scheduler will work closely with project managers, construction managers, contractors, consultants, and project controls teams to help ensure project schedules accurately reflect project scope, sequencing, milestones, operational constraints, and contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will possess strong scheduling, analytical, and coordination skills with experience supporting complex infrastructure or public sector construction projects.

Projects may include airport terminal renovations, roadway improvements, transportation infrastructure, utility upgrades, transit facilities, vertical construction, tenant improvements, and other public sector capital improvement programs.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant scheduling experience
What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done
  • 4–10 years of scheduling experience supporting aviation, transportation, infrastructure, or public sector construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles and construction scheduling methodologies
  • Experience developing and maintaining baseline schedules, construction schedules, recovery schedules, and milestone schedules
  • Experience reviewing contractor schedule submissions, updates, and schedule narratives
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement timelines, phasing plans, and project delivery methods
  • Ability to analyze schedule performance and identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path impacts
  • Experience supporting projects within active operational environments preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, schedule narratives, and executive summaries
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and project controls reporting tools preferred
  • Ability to travel throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia project locations as required
Certifications / Licenses
  • PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
  • CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred
  • Aviation or transportation infrastructure scheduling experience strongly preferred
