Job Description & How to Apply Below
Mechanical Engineer (Solid Works & Manufacturing)
Sikky Manufacturing is expanding! We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help drive the design and production of our diverse product lines. This is a unique opportunity to work across two high‑energy divisions: our proprietary Sikky automotive performance brand and Xgen, our contract manufacturing arm serving industrial and defense sectors. You will be a key part of our engineering workflow, taking projects from initial concept through to the finished product.
We are looking for a collaborative professional who is a Solid Works expert and understands the nuances of designing for real‑world manufacturing.
- Collaborative Product Development: Work alongside our existing team to design, prototype, and refine new products for the Sikky brand.
- Manufacturing Solutions: Support our Xgen contract manufacturing clients by reviewing technical specifications and ensuring designs are optimized for our CNC and fabrication capabilities.
- High‑Level CAD Modeling: Utilize Solid Works to create robust 3D models, detailed assemblies, and precision 2D production drawings.
- ISO Quality Support: Help maintain our ISO 9001:2015 standards by managing the documentation and version control required for critical industrial and defense contracts.
- Production Integration: Interface with the shop floor to ensure a smooth transition from design to physical part, troubleshooting any manufacturing challenges that arise.
- Professional Solid Works Proficiency: Significant experience in a professional engineering environment is required. Fluency in part modeling, complex assemblies, and industry‑standard drawing practices.
- Manufacturing & DFM Knowledge: A solid grasp of machining and fabrication processes; design with the end process in mind.
- Quality Standards: Experience working within or a strong understanding of an ISO 9001:2015 environment.
- Technical Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal team members and communicate technical requirements to external customers.
- Versatility: Comfortable shifting gears between high‑performance automotive projects and high‑spec defense/industrial work.
