Position: Mission Planning System Administrator (Level 3)

The F-35 Mission Planning Test & Evaluation Administrator’s primary role is to support flight test activities at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station on the F-35B and F-35C aircraft as part of the Air Vehicle Mission Planning Environment (MPE) team.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy mission plans for communications and datalinks, sensor configurations, and weapon system planning.
  • Coordinate with Mission Systems, Weapon Integration teams, and pilots to deploy and evaluate new capabilities.
  • Manage both ground and airborne COMSEC configurations.
  • Coordinate with Test Operations, Flight Operations, and Aircraft Maintenance teams.
  • Deploy and administer MPE hardware and network infrastructure.
  • Install latest developmental releases of MPE software, maintain user accounts, and support system audits.
  • Support MPE and related mission systems equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
Basic Qualifications
  • Demonstrated Mission Planning experience.
  • Experience handling COMSEC information.
  • Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours, odd or off‑shifts, and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to attain and maintain Secret collateral and SAP program clearances.
Desired Skills
  • MPE experience with JMPS.
  • F-35 Multi‑Ship Virtual Development Lab (MVDL) experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting applications.
  • Account maintenance with Active Directory, Oracle, or CRM.
  • Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, databases, and network equipment.
  • Virtual machine management with Hyper‑V or VMware.
  • Maintaining and upgrading system hardware and rack component start/stop procedures.
  • Applying updates, anti‑virus, anti‑spyware, and patch updates.
Security Clearance & Citizenship

Must be a U.S. citizen and this position requires a government security clearance. The clearance level required is Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years.
